Basic Travel Tips – To Enjoy a Budget Friendly Vacation

In this present economy, spending on vacations can put a heavy hand on your budget. But there are certain tips that can let you enjoy your trip and also save some money. For instance, you can save money on airfare by looking for round trip tickets rather than one way tickets. Booking connecting flights can also help you save a deal.

Another important aspect of travelling is food. Most of us are unaware of good places and end up taking most of the meals in the hotel we stay, which can turn out to pretty expensive. Hence a great way to save money during travel is by planning and having your meals for cheaper price outside the hotel you stay. Cooking for yourself is another option to consider as it not only helps save money, but is also fun as well.

When on vacations, we spend most of our time travelling and spend equally huge amounts on taxis. But by booking for car rentals in advance you can save big bucks.

Pet Travel – Enjoy the Vacation with your Pets

Holidays are a time when most people love to travel. But people having pets at home may find it difficult to have a relaxed vacation as they would find it difficult to accommodate their pets. Many people prefer to take their pets along with them on their vacations as they don’t have anyone else to take care of them or they don’t want to put their pets in pet care centers the whole while.

There are several things to consider when you’re taking your pet along with you. You need to be very careful when travelling with pets by air. First you need to make sure the airline allows pet travel, then make arrangements with the airlines for pet travel and also pay for its ticket. You also need to get proper travel insurance for your pet, get it vaccinated, give it an identification tag, and always carry your pet in a carrier. A health certificate from a vet is very essential when you want to travel to an international country.

Next, when selecting hotels make sure you select the ones that provide good services and facilities for pets. Few hotels even offer specialized services, such as personalized beds and gourmet treats for pets.

Alison Stein Wellner a prolific travel writer, author, and long time freelancer, who also writes a blog about travel for the Huffington post , a travel and lifestyle column for TheStreet.com, appeared as a guest on the Travel Show by Steve Perillo. She was of the opinion that high end hotels are more pet friendly and even named a few places that provide special services, such as pet menu, cocktail hours, and surf lessons for pets.

So, if you’re planning your vacation and want to take your pet along, make sure you do all the required things and don’t forget to catch the episode of Alison Wellner on Steve Perillo to get useful tips about pet travel.

Steve Perillo’s Journey into the Musical World

Perillo Tours is a travel company, which organizes quality tours and adventurous vacations to Italy, Hawaii, and Israel. This successful family business that began in 1945 has been running for three generations. Steve Perillo, the current head of the reputable Perillo Tours is a popular musician as well.

As a child, Perillo was deeply impressed by American music of the 40s and 50s, as that was what his parents listened to. It ignited his passion for music. Today, even though he listens to diverse genres of music, he still nurtures a soft spot for early American music.

Steve Perillo has vivid memories of his childhood; watching the famous Beatles on Ed Sullivan’s TV show, strumming away on guitars with girls screaming around them! The very next week after watching his first Beatle video, he bought a folk guitar and began guitar lessons! He later became interested in classical music and this kindled his interest in playing the piano.

In school, Steve did not get many opportunities to play his compositions and anyway, he was too shy to do so! This was the time when he first listened to music of the legendary Bach. His sister had brought home the album ‘Switched on Bach’. From then on, Perillo became an ardent fan of Bach’s music!

Perillo was fortunate to be a student of ace American composer, David Del Tredici, in Boston University. Under the constructive guidance of Del Tredici, Perillo’s musical talent was honed and polished. After graduating, he worked on music soundtracks for a few years. At one point, he finally decided to turn his attention to his family business – Perillo Tours. He was always very enthusiastic about travel and tourism, plus the family business needed him. Steve believes that music suited him as a passion and not a full-time profession.

From orchestral pieces and concert music to chamber music and pop, Steve Perillo’s music is a mélange of different styles and genres. He has released several of his compositions, which have become commercial successes.

Requiem for a Goldfish, Perillo’s Magnificat and other Choral Masterpieces, and Napoli are some of his popular soundtracks. Steve, the musician, is definitely here to stay!
